Mohave County is located in the northwestern corner of the U.S. state of Arizona. As of 2000 its population was 155,032. The county seat is Kingman. The largest city is Lake Havasu City. Mohave County contains part of Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and all of the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. The Kaibab, Fort Mojave and Hualapai Indian Reservations also lie within the county.

The U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management own 61 percent of the land; Indian Reservations, 6 percent, the State of Arizona, 7 percent, individual or corporate, 18 percent and other public lands, 8 percent.

Manufacturing businesses located in Lake Havasu City include: Sterilite Corporation, the largest U.S. independent manufacturer of plastic houseware products, employing over 400 people in their 450,000 square foot facility. High-performance boat and leisure craft manufacturers like Advantage, Campbell, Cheetah, Conquest, Eliminator, Magic/Sleek craft, and Nordic have found a natural home in Lake Havasu City. Many other watercraft related manufactured products are produced here as well. Our modern infrastructure allows service and call centers such as Compunet Credit Services and Coach Net the opportunity to service customers throughout North America. Lake Havasu and Arizona offer business owners the opportunity to locate in a business friendly environment and there are many non-service industry businesses in the county.

Kingman is the regional trade and service center not only for Mohave County, but for northwestern Arizona. The location between Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon, makes tourism and manufacturing leading industries. Favorable Arizona taxes, the Interstate Highway, the Santa Fe mainline, and proximity to the California market has made Kingman a prime site for industry.

The fully developed Airport Industrial Park in Kingman, with reasonable land costs, is attracting the attention of manufacturers wishing to establish a southwestern plant as well as attracting workers who desire the sunbelt lifestyle.
