Mohave County Humane Societies are the following 2: Mohave County Animal Control, and Western Arizona Humane Society.

Mohave County Animal Control is under the Mohave County Sheriff's Office control. Stray cats and dogs are kept at the Animal Shelter in Kingman waiting to be claimed by their owner or adoption. Fees include health exam, spay or neuter, license fee and obedience class.

Western Arizona Humane Society has been serving the community of Mohave County for more than 20 years. This Humane Society has received approximately, 893 strays, 1,344 turnovers, 31 quarantined, 38 agency assist, 139 wildlife, and were able to place or reclaim 1808 pets in the past year. They provide the following Services: Clean and Friendly Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Program, Low Cost Spay-Neuter Program, Pet First Aid Classes, Rabies Clinics, Ambulance Service, Education Programs for Children & Adults, Wildlife Rehabilitation, Nursing Home Visitation Program, and Volunteer Progam. Western Arizona Humane Society also has an active SNIP (spay/neuter incentive program) in Lake Havasu City and Mohave County for income-eligible participants.
