The Mohave County Sheriff is Tom Sheahan. The Sheriff's office duty is to serve the Civil Processes and legal documents originating from Arizona Superior Courts, Justice Courts; attorneys, private individuals and out of state entities needing service in Mohave County. Seventy-five members of the Sheriff's office assist the Sheriff by carrying out search and rescue missions and other duties.

The Tactical Operations Unit (TOU) is the Mohave County Sheriff's Office's SWAT team. The SWAT Team helps the Sheriff's office by helping with search warrants at a location that is deemed hazardous due to likelihood of resistance or any other situation deemed to have an increased risk. As every SWAT Team member mission depends on their ability to work fluidly as a cohesive team unit, their training hinges on the approach of solving situations as a team.
